The homeowners wanted a cozy setting for their new patio and hot tub, so we built a cedar pergola to frame the space. While cedar is naturally rot-resistant, it can still weather and attract insects over time. To protect it, we applied an oil-based stain that helps prevent the wood from turning gray or deteriorating. The stain also allows for a custom color that reflects the owner's taste.
